Successful goaltending demands mobility and balance. If a goalie cannot move efficiently and accurately in balance and on angle around the crease, the chance of making saves is drastically reduced. That’s why we focus on developing these, as well as all other critical tools essential to goalie position.

The Mite Development League (MDL) was formed to develop players ages 5-8 years of age. We develop players by teaching them fundamental hockey skills and game awareness. This is not a learn to skate program--all players will have a basic understanding of skating and puck skills. Players will have professionally run skills with RB hockey twice weekly. Along with the two weekly skills sessions, the MDL puts Learn to Play Hockey level kids into games with others at their skill level with the goal of preparing them to play league games the following season. We view these teams as the future of our organization and recognize that in order to develop; players need good ice time and great coaching. Director of Northeast Elite Hockey, Rob Reilly, will be coaching a team as well as owner Rob Barletta. MDL teams will play 20 games. Learn More & Sign Up

I thought of the first time I brought Jake to your Sunday night camp, I was looking for some skills that had a personal touch not a factory for 10ys olds. You took the time to pull him aside and evaluate him only to determine he skated pretty good, but just dragged his toes. We spent many nights commuting a pretty good distance to several nightly skills camps and found them superior to any others we had been to. After a while Jake felt comfortable enough with your staff to attend the mini camps during the summer and school vacations. I instantly noticed his progress during the games on his town team after he had spent any time at your camps. The “you practice like you play” motto from your staff really proved true for Jake.
