SKATERS
Our Weekly Skills Sessions are designed to keep a player skating
during the season and off-season by allowing one hour of intense
training a week. Players will be broken up into groups and put into
stations according to their ability.
The student to teacher ratio is 5:1. Instructors will demonstrate
drills for specific skill development and coach each player to insure
the drills are done correctly. Our dynamic skill sessions cover
every aspect of hockey so players learning the sport develop the
critical skills to play up to their potential.
GOALTENDERS
We’ll focus on a single skill each week, allowing goalies
adequate time to learn and fine tune their abilities in a particular
area. Skills include power skating, butterfly, agility training,
breakaways and power pushes. Goalies will be divided into ability-based
groups and rotate through various stations to practice different
aspects of the week’s skill. Our expert instructors will demonstrate
the correct execution of each skill and ensure each goalie uses
proper technique.
These
60-minute skills sessions are intense and will challenge even the
most experienced netminders, who will be pushed to execute drills
at full speed while under control and in balance. Less experienced
goalies will also benefit from these skill sessions and are encouraged
to take all the time they need to learn and practice new skills.
The number of participating goalies allowed on these sessions is
unlimited.
PLAYER DEVELOPMENT
Each session players will be driven to their full capability. Instructors
will demonstrate drills for specific skill development and coach
each player to insure the drills are done correctly. First at half
speed to master the technique then full speed, because we believe
players play the way they practice. At camp we focus on skating,
stickhandling, quickness and agility of each player to maximize
INDIVIDUAL POTENTIAL AND DEVELOPMENT.
