RB Hockey School is coming to New Jersey! Taking
place at the Gold Coast Arena in Farmingdale, NJ,
this camp is typically one of the player’s favorites! We teach
the game of hockey. Our“Game
Situation” drills will focus
on the Forward and Defenseman aspects of real game play. Each player
that attends this camp will be given the opportunity to develop
their game to his or her top potential. For the past decade we have
been producing fun, competitive and challenging hockey camps and
look forward to bringing the RB Hockey Experience to Gold Coast
Arena!
Throughout the week, each player will
be involved with strength training, speed training, balance work,
core training, agility training, plyometrics, stretching techniques.
On top of that, each player will receive:
positional
breakdown for forwards and defensemen
situational "chalk talk" on how to approach and react
to game situation
systems work (allowing players to learn about all hockey systems)
fore-checking systems
defensive-zone coverage
breakouts & controlled breakouts
understanding traps
power plays & penalty killing
during our on-ice sessions players will experience a combinatio
of our AAA Select, Total Hockey Skills and Game Situational camps.
Using
a variety of game-situation drills, we’ll teach defenseman
how to angle players to keep them away from you net. In-front coverage,
stepping up in the play, and closing the gap while keeping your
feet moving also will be addressed. Forwards will be shown how to
get open for the perfect scoring opportunity, and how to shoot and
score against your opponent in game situations. Players participate
in confrontational drills against players in their age group, making
the drills more game-like and reactionary.
Defenseman
– angling, gap control, net play, support drills, at the point,
odd and even man rushes, pinning and checking.
Forwards – winning
the battles, attacking the triangle, power moves, tipping, odd-
and even-man rushes, puck protection and checking.
These drills will help each player understand
their specific position and teach reaction with confidence. During
the on ice (Minimum 5 Hours) and one-hour classroom talks each day,
we’ll cover power skating, forward and backward strides, proper
body positioning, explosive forward and backward acceleration, high-speed
starts, pivots, turns and stops, and puck control.
Our staff will address all hockey skills -- skating techniques,
puck control, passing, positional drills, over speed training, forward
and defenseman specific drills, odd and even-man rushes, shooting,
checking, teamwork and team building exercises.
After the hard
work put forth by the skaters, we believe they deserve to be rewarded
with a little bit of fun time. This is why we have organized an
option trip to Six Flags New Jersey! This is scheduled for Wednesdays. Please Note: If you do not wish to attend the Six
Flags Trip, you have two options available: Option 1:
Skip the Six Flag trip and take the day off. Subtract $55 from the
