Our 2012 Boarding Camp Line Up offers each player the opportunity
to develop their game to her top potential. We pride ourselves in
producing a fun, competitive and challenging hockey camp. We
are so confident in our programs and staff that we offer a 100%
money back guarantee if your child is not completely satisfied after
their first day.
Throughout the week, each player will
be involved with strength training, speed training, balance work,
core training, agility training, plyometrics, stretching techniques
and much more.
On top of that, each player will receive video and systems technique training which will concentrate
on:
positional breakdown for forwards and defensemen
situational "chalk talk" on how to approach and react
to game situation
systems work (allowing players to learn about all hockey systems)
fore-checking systems
defensive-zone coverage
breakouts & controlled breakouts
understanding traps
power plays & penalty killing
during our on-ice sessions players will experience a combination
of our AAA Select, Total Hockey Skills and Game Situational camps.
Our staff will address all hockey skills --
skating techniques, puck control, passing, positional drills, over
speed training, forward and defenseman specific drills, odd and
even-man rushes, shooting, checking, teamwork and team building
exercises.
Located
in front of the arena on Route 1 in Walpole, the facility boasts a
common area with plush leather couches, a giant LCD flat screen with
satellite TV used for off-ice instruction. It also has a Ping-Pong
table, Air Hockey table, Xbox, multiple Wii's, Guitar Hero and
a basketball hoop.
Other amenities include a kitchen complete
with a stove, full-size refrigerator, toaster, blender and microwave
oven. Spread out across the entire third floor of the facility are
spacious dorm rooms, each equipped with central air conditioning
as well as a private bathroom. A laundry room is also available.
As a facility built to host and train world-class athletes, the
building is highly secure. Not only is a key or key code required
for entry, but a key card is needed to operate the elevator that
accesses the third floor sleeping rooms. To further ensure the safety
of our players, 24-hour closed-circuit surveillance cameras monitor
every entrance and exit of the facility.
After
the hard work put forth by the skaters, we believe they deserve
to be rewarded with a little bit of fun time. This is why we have
searched our area for the best attractions in New England to be
added to the already best boarding camps. We will be going Mini
Golfing and Go Karting located on Rt. 1 in Walpole, along
with an optional* full day Six Flags New England trip, which
is scheduled for Wednesdays. Later in the week is pizza night, which
will be enjoyed with movies and video games and we can never forget
the wildly popular pool party and cook out!
Please Note: If you do not wish to attend the
Six Flags Trip, you have two options available:
Option 1: Skip the Six Flag trip and take the
day off. Subtract $55 from the cost of your camp. Option 2: Skip the Six Flag trip and participate
in an additional day of on-ice drills. Add $100 to your camp.
This
year, Kinetic Fuel is offering 1 on 1 nutrition consultations which
help by enhancing athletic performance, improving body composition
(lean mass:body fat), and preventing injuries. There are two options
to choose from:
Option 1 - $50: One meeting during camp to review
player's goals, set a schedule, discuss food preferences and get
weight/measurements. Recommendations for improvement will be emailed
to the player prior to the end of camp.
Option 2 - $250-$450: Nutrition Counseling - Offers
players a more in depth experience over an 8-16 week period of time.
More detailed information about this plan are available by clicking

most power out of each stride.

Backward strides and crossovers are also covered.
Pivots

Instruction on transitions so players can smoothly move from

losing speed. We also introduce checking – both how
to safely give and receive a check – so young players

part of their game.
Game
situation confrontational drills:
We teach the game of hockey. Our “Game Situation”

real game play. Defenseman – angling, gap control, net
play, support drills, at the point, odd and even man rushes,
pinning and checking. Forwards – winning the battles,
attacking the triangle, power moves, tipping, odd and even
man rushes, puck protection and checking. These drills will
help each player understand the game and teach reaction with
confidence. 5 hours of ice each day and 1 hour class room
